Hi all,
We have a working GTX470 (DavidT) and i've asked him to post his results in this thread.
Using the standardized benchmark trench scene, attached.
Maybe others can post they're results here so we can compare them.
Just open the included OCS file, and render, don't change anything to have a fair result.
here's the bench scene: 4MB Zip: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/bench ... chmark.zip
Thanks,
Radiance

on a side note, i made a quick approximation of the theoretical difference of speed between the GTX470 and GTX480 based on clock speed and number of cuda cores,
and the GTX480 should be 1,236x as fast as the GTX470.

i'm currently at home on my mac mini with it's poor 9400 with 256MB and am getting a shamefull 0.08 Megasamples/Sec
i'll run post some tomorrow comparing my quadro FX3800's and GTX260b's at the office.

Wait a sec, do I have to stop when I think it's good or I need to let ir run till it ends?
the best is to just post a screenshot when it's rendering so we can see the megasamples/sec it has, not the time it takes to finish the render.pedrofelipe wrote:Wait a sec, do I have to stop when I think it's good or I need to let ir run till it ends?

DavidT just told me via email that he's getting 2.05 megasamples/sec.
that would approximate the GTX480 to:
GTX480: 2,54 MegaSamples/sec
GTX470: 2.05 MegaSamples/sec
theoretically, let's wait and see what we get with a real GTX480.
