Thanks, yes the lampshades has sss shader applied to them (I have not understand the sss in octane completely, but I guess they turned out ok...) The fire was a little bit of experiment; the mesh is made in sculpris and I used a material mix between diffuse with blackbody emission and a specular material for a bit of transparency. I agree it could use a little more work though.

hi, fantastic image friend, how do you manage to get the short rendering time? i have a gtx 580, and with a scene the third as complex of yours it takes 8 hours to clean up.
