Yes, yes! It is VERY annoying.:!: Work is very hard with it all the time expanding.

Hi guys, I think you really have something broken in your latests version, at least from version 2.48b (I don't know if 2.47 is also affected), the problem is with how is handle the materials with blackbody emisions, check:

Thanks face, i try with different files but don´t work for me.
Sometimes, with an absolute "fresh" file exported from blender, it works.
Did the presets working for you?

It is odd, but i have noticed, there is difference where i have exported my files.
Sometime i export more scenes into the same directory, for example D:OctaneExport and scene is broken.
As i export the same files (before broken) into different folder, for example D:OctaneExport2, scene is OK.

More about "Node inspector": it is not real to find needed name in "Node inspector" (even in a not so big project, what will be in a big one) when not only they are not searchable by keyboard in that view, but even not ordered by name...
And if we consider that all of them always gets opened after editing one of them - it is really not usable...:(

I'm having the same trouble.The quiet mode (-q) switch is not working correctly.The splash screen does not come up so that is fine, but the Octane render window still pops up at each frame when it renders and takes the focus away from anything I am working on in the foreground.In a test video I was working on at low resolution in Direct lighting mode it was therefore poping up with a new render window virtually every 6 seconds.In the end I had to just leave the Machine alone to run the render.I could not keep it running in the background without it interrupting me.
As I still have about 4 cores available of CPU power after running jimstars superb exporter, I would just like to put them to work as well, instead of them just hanging around. Many thanks.

is there a problem in importing a new mesh in an ocs file in this release or is it just me :?
also octane live is disconnected(I wanted to try with 246b and could not start) is it servers maintainanance?

the first isue is solved ..... :)

How many samples did you get with you 4x gtx580 on that particular image, did it really take 7 hours?
