Hi Jim
Great stuff, worth all the wait.
Here is a test render from the current build.
I will be posting more here: http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=41651

Hi
Is this a bug?
1) Add a mirror modifier to an object.
2) ALT-D to copy it with shared object data.
3) Remove the mirror modifier from the second (copied) object.
The effect is on the print screen attached below. While in 3D view the behaviour is correct, Octane seems to mess things up.
Changing the mesh type from global to scatter only makes both objects appear to be mirrored.
This occurs both during live viewport rendering and final F12 rendering.
Please tell me if this is only my mistake. Cheers,
Szymon

Hello,
I would like to ask something concerning the hardware.
Is there any way to make the render engine use ,for example, 80% of my gpu instead of 100%? (or whatever percentage octane plug in uses)
My computer reacts really slowly during rendering times, and sometimes I cannot even use it to do other things along with rendering.
Thank you in advance.
Stelios

Hi Stelios20, this is not possible with OctaneRender™ for Blender.
The standalone version of OctaneRender™ has such a feature.
I think the feature can be implemented but has low priority.
If your mainboard support it buy a second cheap GPU for display and use your main GPU for Octane.
Cheers, mib

Thank you for responding Mib!
I already have 1 Titan, in case I buy a gtx 780 will my computer be able to render with both cards?
I mean can I render a scene ,with octane plug in, with 2 nvidia cards?
If yes, should they be in SLI connection or something?

Hi you can choose which card render, Titan or 780 or both with the plugin.
SLI is not used from Octane it even make problems sometimes.
You can connect the the cards hardware wise but disable in driver settings for Octane.
If you a gamer you can enable SLI for it.
Cheers, mib

For multiple GPU usage I advise you to keep an eye on GPU load during rendering. Install a GPU Monitor (Windows gadget) or something similar. I've noticed that in random cases, when I tick both of my GPUs for rendering, one of them is not loaded to the max - the curve jumps form 0 to 60%. It makes no difference which GPU the monitor is plugged into and I tried different PCI-E slots to make sure this is not a hardware failure. Usually when this happens, a reboot solves the problem.Stelios20 wrote:Thank you for responding Mib!

Ok perfect!
With a 1000W power supply will the computer work fine, with 1xTitan and 1x780 on it?
