Noticed the same thing, only seems to happen with motion blur box checked.

any update on the new command line usage for rendering from command prompt?

Is the manual updated yet?

After further testing... This happens only when both my 480GTX cards... Running in single mode works perfectly, so its something that locks up Octane in Dual GPU mode.
After even further testing, it happens with only one 480 enabled aswell :( It just took a little longer before it hangs.. I've tried with driver 275.33, but will now install 280.26 to see if it solves the problem.

Doesn't change a thing. I changed from 275.33 to 280.26 and it had no effect. My animation rendering is still stopping at random times. Today it stopped after 6 hours of rendering.

I've just switched to 1.0 beta2.52, exporting from C4D works well, but ABSOLUYELY nothing happens in OctaneRender. It won't even render mats from the liveDB - The old installations doesn't work anymore either after upgrade - any suggestions?

Thanks for this release, I can see some improvements in the stability for animation rendering since 2.46. (out of Blender).
I'm not saying it's perfect, there are still some freezes of the render process once in a while but it happens less often than before.

Keep up the good work guys !

Have only found one other person with this problem but in beta 2.52 Motion Blur doesn't seem to do anything in a turntable animation. Octane saves two identical images per frame neither with blur. Maybe its my settings but for now I rolled back to 2.46b, removed my portal windows and it seems to work fine. Any ideas if this is a bug or something about my scene??

I had the luck to see how octane "crashed" when rendering an animation.

Octane was loading the images, then importing the model, voxelizing, the message disappears and that's it. No active octane window! In the task manager process tab is an octane.exe running, takes about 1.5gb of ram (when the scene normally renders it takes about 2.3gb of ram) and no cpu. I also checked the gpu load with gpu-z but there's nothing 0% load.

I have to cancel the animation export in xsi and shutdown the process manually.

It's really annoying, it already costed a lot of time.

Thanks, Roubal, I followed your advice (switched to Win 7 x64 and add 4Gb RAM, my mobo does only accept 8Gb). Whoaw, I'm not sure I'm still using the same program !!! No more 'loading' problems, I can use full size textures, interface is much more responsive ... que du bonheur.

You are absolutely right, even if the video card is crucial (amount of vram and cuda cores wise), a decent amount of ram is also really important.
