Is anyone else experiencing c4d stalls when trying to stop a render in the picture viewer? It's only happening with the passes switched on.
yes, but render passes will be fixed/improved on new releases. This version was only a test and preview for passes. I hope this makes some sense

Oh that's good to hear. I stopped using them because on some occasions, the render would just slow down so much that it got painful. But other then that it's fantastic! Absolutely love that it has multilayered files! No more millions of files.

Hi,
i couldnt test the 2.1 yet. But noticed a reversed behavior for Hdri gamma value on previous version. for darker shadows i always set it around 0.7 but result gets brighter weirdly while it should gets darker.

Hi Oaktar,

It seems like the new release uses static noise again (like in the very first versions of octane). It´s a huge disadvantage for animations as the noise id not changing from frame to frame.
I searched about it and they seem to have the same problem over at the 3Ds Max plugin:
http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 30#p205590

Unfortunately I have to go back to the 2.06 Release till its fixed :-(
Its something animations look really weird with. Just watch the video over at the post i have linked.

And I agree with the people that run into this Issue. Please make it an option "Static Noise: On / Off" (As in Vray for example)

If this is not releated to the plugin please forward this to the devs of the standalone :-)
Would be really nice!

Cheers,
Raphael

Hi Aoktar,

We installed this version now, and the bug reported in http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 50#p202486 is persistent.

We would kindly ask you to look into the issue as soon as possible, as we cannot finish the project we're working on.
This is not beta software anymore, and we assume that the features work as advertised.

Thanks,

::mate::

Thanks for your reply.
I have my camera keyframe-animated. Unfortunately it´s not working.
I also tried all methods (send all scene data, only send updated data etc) everywhere the same.

I also did a quick test with the 2.06 and it works as expected (no static noise)

P.s. @ Aoktar:
Subdivision from Octane Object tag still do not work in final rendering (Picture viewer)

Thanks for looking into it!

Cheers,
Raphael

yes, it's a result of 2.10. Someone likes this, but not for me.
Also subdiv in objecttag, is not very critical. I'll check it after some work and release.
