What's amount of problems? One or more, you show one here. Can you open octane nodegraph to compare exported parameters?AWOLism wrote:Testing the Composite Texture node and runnning into problems with the different blend/overlay/alpha options.
I made a simple 3 layer test with some color nodes, just to test basic functionality.
I also compared with a similar scene in Standalone (Also RC6), and they react differently to the same values.
In Standalone it works as expected. However, in Octane c4D, it does not appear to work correctly when I add a third layer. That seems to not blend properly.
See comparison in screenshots, and also in attached C4D file.

I did not test it further today, so I only discovered that problem this far.aoktar wrote:What's amount of problems? One or more, you show one here. I can have a look at the Standalone file again tomorrow at the office, if you want more info from the nodegraph window. Is that what you mean?
C4D R2023 + Octane 2022.1 | Windows 10 Pro | 64 gb ram | 1 x RTX3090
nvlink is working with 2080s, don't know 3080s
Please post a better info:
1- _bugreport.zip
2- File generated by "Generate Log Report" button from settings/other
3- Detailed explanations how it happens and with which scenes, plus some scene to reproduce your issue.
It loads plugins into c4d and crashes, no scene, no log.
This happens with
SLI 3090s. Not sure why. Im guessing this build isnt ready for 3090 Nvlink yet? Should I try to use the stable version to confirm its just this build?
It doesnt happen all the time by the way, only crashes about 70% of the time

EDIT***
PART OF THE ISSUE IS THAT OCTANE NO LONGER IS CO-COMPATIBLE WITH PLUGIN TURBULENCE FD
OCTANE WORKS SOLO
TFD WORKS SOLO
BUT THEY CANT COEXIST in both the STABLE build and this one.
This config doesn't have any look to display.BCres wrote:Probably a stupid question, but how do you get "Use View Look(s)", shown in the picture below, to actually populate with something. The only other entry is none and nothing happens when I use either of them.
Is it referencing something else?

Right, I get that much, so what I'm asking is—how do I get access to a configuration that allows me to use "Use View Look(s)"? None of the configurations offered make that selection usable.aoktar wrote:This config doesn't have any look to display.BCres wrote:Probably a stupid question, but how do you get "Use View Look(s)", shown in the picture below, to actually populate with something. Where do the "Looks" to come from? What file? What configuration? I don't have any idea how that pull down is even populated.
Sorry, but I can't find any documents for this. It'll be my last question. Thanks.
Documentation is under development. This config is not having it, I don't know the format of that. For example, filmic-blender config has looks.BCres wrote:Right, I get that much, so what I'm asking is—how do I get access to a configuration that allows me to use "Use View Look(s)"? @Karu is the dev for OCIO implementation, you can send a message to him for detailed answers.

I noticed a strange behaviour on this release, i was working on a scene with some universal materials and when i re-opened it, i changed the image on enviroment object, and strangely changed image texture nodes on albedos from theese materials.

Hi Ahmet, I have had a problem with the plugin for a long time and I didn't want to send anything until I was sure it wasn't a problem with my pc, but I did tests with 2 totally different computers and the problem keeps happening to such a degree that it makes me very difficult to work. I'm going to send him a compiled video and log files to see if you can determine what is happening. This is happening to me with almost all the scenes when I start to make them more complex. I hope this helps you and the problem can be solved. I had to postpone several jobs due to this error.
Note: This only happens if I use the octane render plugin, it does not happen with another engine.
I also tried an older version 2020.1.5-R4 and it is unstable
Thanks, Ahmet.
