OctaneRender™ 2020.1 XB3 [superseded by 2020.1 RC1]

As explained later on, it finally has nothing to do with the scatter script.
The problem seems to be linked with my grass which is about 2.5 million instances. If I render the scene with the grass and I make a change, let's say changing a material or reloading a mesh of the scene while it is rendering with the grass, I cannot do anything else, I cannot move the camera anymore (no effect), I cannot render another render target, I can select it but without any effect, I cannot select a material over the image, ... the render seems to continue rendering the same render target and the only way to get back the control is to restart Octane. If I disconnect the grass node in my scene, I do not meet the problem, at least I couldn't reproduce it. The issue occurs with 2019 version as well as with 2020.

Is there any chance you can share a repro scene so we can look into this?

Will check if I could reproduce the problem with a simplified version of the scene because it is really huge

Does XB3 support network rendering (enterprise license) ? i can't see my render slaves from standalone + win_slave installed on renderslave ?

Shows nothing on list when i enable render-slave and yet my batch file seems fine/in order when started.

It should work, I assume you made sure you are using the same version of Octane for master and slaves right? Does this happen to you using all Windows machines or a combination, with just this version or also others?

the slave works,
just the installing process is a bit weired, when installing the daemon you need to indicate the location for the bat file which is in the slave's folder

I have BAT file working and if i open network render from Plugin side (LightWave with 2019.1.5 octane - right window) i see my slave (yes it reports that slave has wrong version but main thing is that it sees it), if i open network rendering panel from Standalone i see nothing in my slave list ? That way i'm sure my *.bat works and it's correct but for some reason Standalone see nothing on that list ?

2019version master cannot use 2020.1 XB3
the slave is working, it just cannnot find the master which should be the same version

please re-read what i typed . I'm not trying to make plugin work. that is fine i can find and use plugin with 2019.1.5 work fine,also with 2020 bu standalone is not seeing 2020.xb3 slave. that is problem here

if the master standalone is already right version, it should be working already, because through the plugin you can see the slave means the slave side is correct already,
just try restart the standalone at the master side, if it still not working , try reinstall the standalone at the master side...

Tried all that already and no go. That is why i asked DEVs here does XB3 network render even work in standalone since it is not seeing anything on network. And i installed slave and standalone on renderslave anx rebooted both multiple times and still nothing.

have you try reversely, meanning runing your standalone from your slave PC and have a slave from your master pc?
another possibility is your network have issues, but your 2019 can see it, Strange!
