But,
Problems I saw recently are:
1- Max refuses to select ies as emisson texture
2- Can't rotate translate Environment HDR texture
3- Can't increase power of environment HDR texture
4- When I use a plane as light (Diffuse material with emission) plane lights the scene but plane isn't bright white as a light just grey. if I flip the normals of the plane than It becomes white but light the opposite direction.
and there are some problems with the textures

4 - Can you attach a scene?
I've been testing it during the day. Everything seems to work fine. It's just a matter of getting used to it.
However, there is some things that I feel is missing. It might be on your to-do's already but I bring them up anyway.
- A lot of the features below the render view (clay render, dof-focus picker, play/pause etc) is missing. I used them a lot. Especially the pause/play one. I only use one card on my machine so it can be a bit slow tweaking your scene.
- The control you have when loading a hdr such as power, rotation etc is all gone.

MaTtY631990, thank you for response, is the same result, i can't see the texture applied into my objects, i'm used 3ds max 2011 x64 bits, into windows xp x64

I think I spotted the problem.
I've attached the max file..
There are 2 identical light planes. one of them is rotated 180 deg. in Z axis. to see the problem in 1 camera angle.
They give light to the (-)negative side of their normals. And they are bright on the (+) side of their normals.
to correct this you have to turn of the smooth value in diffuse material.
But anyway it always lights towards the negative of normals.
is there a release timeframe for the other problems I've mentioned (ies and HDr environment issue)
Cause these are important things to light up the scene ?

and how i can animate the scene ? i don't see parameters to give a click and run animation

2- A tool button to open the OctaneRender Viewport.
I tried to solve this with a macro but I couldn't. if you can help me with the maxscript code to open the viewport.
That would be nice to.
Because not always I need to see the rendering. But opening the render from a button will be great in terms of screen space.
