Agree. I remember old plugins for Lightwave 3D and Cinema 4D - IFW2 and Biomekk Enhance C4D where such Tilers were very helpful. But there is much more powerful solution like Q-Tiler https://qucumber.at/q-tilepro. Anyway simple OSL would be great alternative.

Yeah its a pity OSL isn`t that user friendly, but its getting there. I`m amazed at the stability and speed OSL has.

As far as i know, OSL is not enough, since you cannot handle folders, or works on file names, like you can do in Lua/Standalone.
Another Octane OSL limitation is that it is not possible to have multiple outputs for now, while it would be nice to have, diffuse, normal, and all the other possible channels in one go, in this case, based on texture name structure.
