I had 2 questions both with the same mesh layout, camera following a path with 3d buildings on the sides (think a 3d version of google street view)
1. Looking through the blender/octane camera, I have a camera frame defined in the camera view but the output renders are the entire viewport, is there a way to render just the area defined by the camera frame and not the tinted area around the frame?
2. rendering animations, I noticed that most of the time is consumed transferring data to the render server, with a scene that only the camera moves, can i use the movable proxy or scatter feature?
thanks in advance

In this example: monster dimensions are 18.4m x 9.8m x 16m, camera distance is 18m.

Increasing default value of Ray epsilon by 4 (to 0.000004) helps, thank you! Looks like this option fixes anything... but the model and materials should be re-inspected. )

Had another question for any of the blender plugin users.
Is backward compatibility with the standard blender program an issue?
So if i'm using blender 2.68 octane version and I pass the .blend file to someone that just has blender.org 2.68 are there issues outside of not having the octane materials and settings. but they can still open and use the file with cycles or blender render.
I guess the bigger question is do i need to make a copy for blender octane.
thanks in advance

Hi Jim,
It seems that as soon as you exceed the max amount of RGB textures (probably the same for float one), the server crashes
Am I the only one to meet this problem ?

Hi,
in the daylight system in Octane i an set a time like: 14.021
When i use the Blender plugin i can only set 14.1 or 14.2 (which gives a step of 6 minutes per hour)
Is there a way of using smaller intervalls in the Blender Plugin like in Octane itself?
Regards
Bernd
