If I click the icon and go to gimp and paste as new image that does work.matej wrote:@steveps3, individual params can be always copied as values, just click on it as if you would want to change the value and copy it.
The copy to clipboard doesn't seem to work. If I click the icon and then do Ctrl-V in GIMP, it doesn't work.

If I do that it says there is no image data on the clipboard. What OS are you on?Isotemod wrote: If I click the icon and go to gimp and paste as new image that does work.

Are you trying to copy when the GPU Memory is maxed out?
I think I copied while the render was paused perhaps try both paused and while ruinning?
I tried paused, running and finished. Nothing works. The GPU memory is not maxed out (tried on a simple cube scene).

I have not been able to use the Clipboard Copy/Paste feature as well : not figured out how it works. An explanation would be useful.

Hi,
You don't need the CUDA toolkit on Windows to run Octane. Do you need it for something else? What nvidia driver version do you have?

these days I'm out of office.
If I remember correctly I have the driver version 286.

Copying the image to the clipboard should work on all platforms. Not all programs support pasting images with transparency though.
To copy the rendered image you click the button on the render viewport (by default next to the buttons to save an image). Then you can paste the image in other applications. It will work during or after rendering.

Can you paste in any other program?matej wrote:The copy to clipboard doesn't seem to work. If I click the icon and then do Ctrl-V in GIMP, it doesn't work.

It seems to work for me - Copy in Win7 64bit and then paste from clipboard in Photoshop elements V2.0 , whilst both programs are open.

No. I've tried to paste to GIMP, Inkscape and even LibreOffice, nothing works. Pasting an image with alpha from GIMP to Inkscape and LibreOffice works though. Pasting images from the system image viewer also works everywhere.roeland wrote:Can you paste in any other program?matej wrote:The copy to clipboard doesn't seem to work. If I copy to clipboard an image from GIMP, then click the icon in Octane and then try to paste to GIMP, I get the same image from GIMP not the render (or nothing), while pasting the same content to Inkscape produces nothing.
