Beta 2.2 RC1: SoftImage XSI plugin testing thread
Hehe got another little request
This might be harder to implement though. I got a project coming up next where I need to render eurosize print (70x100cm 200DPI). I would love doing this in Octane but Im afraid I will run out of VRAM. Now, would it be possible to add a split render option that lets you divide your end resolution in rows and columns? (manual stitching in photoshop wont be a problem). I know this might be difficult to implement and maybe is better as a general Octane feature but for now I just wanted to throw the question out there

I believe that you can already do what you want with the lens shift feature.PeterCGS wrote:Hehe got another little requestThis might be harder to implement though. Wow, that's pretty cool! Can use this for better animation support? So that we don't have to export and import again?
I've got one other question, i just saw in my Autodesk student account that XSI 2012 is out! I'm downloading right now, can't wait to test it. I hope that it is much more stable than the 2011 version. Back to topic: Do you know if your plugin works with the 2012 Version?

If it is stable and work with all versions, it should be work for camera animations...Mugga wrote:Wow, that's pretty cool! Can use this for better animation support? So that we don't have to export and import again?

It should be also possible to change the camera in Octane and send the data to SI.
Yes, the plugin works with SI 2012.
