regarding the noise I think that the new Octane release enabled an hidden Cuda feature, our Nvidia gpus can sound like a Moog...;)

Possibly the noise is from a rapidly cycling fan speed signal. On/off or fast/slow. Some infinite loop triggered by passing the data from gpu to cpu or a wait state like do until or refresh. I wonder if these cards have PCM of their fans. Might be a driver or bios fault or even at hardware level rather than an Octane issue.. Probably better to avoid using post processing ATM if you have this noise rather than end up damaging something.

Great news - good work.
Bug report: When I reload textures, they appear black. If I reopen the scene (with the new texture) everything is fine.

César wrote:Great news, but I have some problem with materials on this 1.01 version :

When I refresh a floattexture on the opacity channel the material become totally opaque. Refresh don't work, I have to reload the same texture again.

Some time my material become all black when I refresh a bump floattexture too.

Is it me or somebody else have this trouble ?
Seems, that texture reloading is broken. Will have a look on Monday. Should be easy to fix.

Thanks to all who reported the problem,
Marcus
