I don´t know if the -quiet option works with the last Octane release, but i can test it...

Which emitters, light or particle? And which OCS option? ;)

The last Plugin is here:

This is the version i have.
By emitters i mean objects with diffuse material and blackbody emission. It doesn't take for animation - emission is being reset to null, despite being blackbody in the .ocs file.
And by OCS - going from XSI to Octane to set materials and then using the settings from .ocs file to drive the animation.

Ah, ok.
Octane don´t support it, but you can set every material to a emitter and save the scene in Octane.
But, you must every material set as a material macro, then Octane can reload the scene with your saved materials.
Currently, Octane prefer the materials in the obj/mtl file, but with macros it works...

Thanks! I will try that. One more thing, how should i interpret Softimage's scene units for Octane? Let's say i made my scene so 1 unit = 10 cm. Should i model it so 1 unit = metre?

Maybe a rescale is integrated in the next release

For now i just imported the Octane axis scene to Softimage and 1 Softimage unit equals one Octane meter. It would be nice indeed to be able to rescale in the plug-in.

Was there a solution to get the camera FOV's matching between xsi and Octane? The way it is now, the scene is blurry in Octane and I have to set the depth with the picker. This is fine for stills, but I have no chance to fix it when using the "render animation button".

Everything else is working great, even with the newest Octane.

I found the ICE dof cam tutorial. That's working great, thanks.

You mean focal depth i think ;)
You can also write a expression, it´s maybe easier.

I have a certain scene that won't keep material changes when I re-open. Is there a specific thing I could be doing wrong to cause that. I know the workflow, and it usually works, but this one scene keeps every setting(daylight, exposure, etc) but won't hold the materials.
