Probably you're not right. It's still way faster, checked because of your claim.SSmolak wrote:I don't know if you noticed but as I remember when I tested Scatter compared to Cloner last year Scatter was way faster mainly while preprocessing scene before render. At the moment they are equally the same in the term of speed while using tens of thousands clones.aoktar wrote: 2-We can't because of performance issues and design of it.

I tested today exactly the same configuration for Scatter and Cloner - the same rendering time. I will prepare video tomorrow.aoktar wrote: Probably you're not right. It's still way faster, checked because of your claim.

Render speed is of course same. I'm talking about clones generation speed.SSmolak wrote:I tested today exactly the same configuration for Scatter and Cloner - the same rendering time. I have some more advanced setup and this time Cloner is very little slower but it has more dense clones than Scatter because there is no way to set the same noise distribution settings for Scatter and Cloner. In my opinion they are equally the same by the way.aoktar wrote: Render speed is of course same. I'm talking about clones generation speed.

Render speed is not related what's geometry generator. Only different can be export speed. But renderer will be slow if objects are more intersected. Topic is not related with plugin also.SSmolak wrote:I have some more advanced setup and this time Cloner is very little slower but it has more dense clones than Scatter because there is no way to set the same noise distribution settings for Scatter and Cloner. Sorry maOS 13 Ventura is not supported yet.Sirajhassan wrote:Can you please point me to the latest stable for Mac OS and do we still need to enable Rosetta for it to work?aoktar wrote:Not sure but probably will not work. OctaneX must be rewritten to support new Metal3 driver in macOS Ventura, and will be published only when Ventura will be officially out.
You should need to stay with Monterey 12.6, and OctaneX 2022.1-XB3-R4 native for M1/M2.

Ventura is officially out. It was released two days ago (October 24).bepeg4d wrote: Sorry maOS 13 Ventura is not supported yet.

Yes sorry, my fault, but OctaneX for Ventura is not ready yet... I'll keep you posted.

This latest experimental build (at least on the Mac version) does not contain an c4dOctane-R27.xlib file - only the R26 and R25 ones. It will not run on my M1 Ultra Mac Studio at all. I have not changed to Ventura and the previous build works fine, so that's not the issue.

Right. Scatter is way much faster than Cloner ( especially with Push effector ). Cloner needs near 10 seconds to preprocessing while Scatter do it within 1-2 seconds. This is true using Octane LiveViewer. But in normal rendering preprocessing time is near the same for Scatter and Cloner.aoktar wrote: Probably you're not right.
