I hope I'm not to late.

I recently did this with Blender and Cycles:

And this is what I did with Octane a long time ago:

Would love to test Octane for Blender to its limits :-)

Kind regards

Very glad to hear about that ! :)

As exporting a big scene with lots of materials can be very time-expensive, i'm looking forward to getting my hands on this asap.

I'm also available if you need more beta testers for this. I'm using Blender 2.67 for my professionnal works to build and preview scene and mats then exports to Octane for final render...

Ok, here is the thing, benchmarking and bug hunting is my hobby!

Consider this...
I work blender 4-5 hours per day...
I keep training and learning new features in it...

I do a lot of things with blender like
1) Physics (Water, fire, hair, particles, wind)
2) Composition
3) Motion tracking

Check out these videos to get an idea :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTk8sSYIQUs (motion tracking + Octane)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcnuRc7_VnA (motion tracking + comp)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5rwNA-3eLc (hair dynamics)

All I can say is that I am willing to devote myself into making Octane + Blender 3D the best combo out there!

Thank you for the opportunity!

EDIT : I am an experienced Linux user (besides Windows) and many Blender users do use Linux. I bet I can help that way too.

First off...
Props to all of the crew at Otoy, on the progress of the exporter.
I would also like to apply as a beta tester.

Cheers,
