Starts up fine again when updating to a more recent driver. I expect this won't be the case for everyone, but yeah, 522 not an option for my setup, apparently. In Maxon's defense, these drivers are two years old at this point.

Is there anything else I can do / test out?
Until we find the problem of the SDK, disable node editor previews that should fix it. And try to disable material/opengl previews for LV if it's not solving the problem.

Note that: We see crash reports for newer drivers even with OctaneRender 2023 versions.

Getting a lot of crashes with this version and the new Cinema 2025. Not sure how to pinpoint them. Just randomly crashing, seems to have accrued a couple times when stopping and starting the Live Viewer...

After spending some more time with this latest release and C4D 2025 it seems that all of my crashes are accruing when I either I send a render to the Picture Viewer or turn off the Octane Live Viewer and then turn it back on after I've made some changes to my scene. Really would love to help squash some of these bugs so please let me know what else I can do to test and get this fixed ASAP.

Thank You!

I believe we found the issue. Which is related to GPU activation functions which causes some deadlocks on updates. Hopefully a fixed build will be here pretty soon!

Disabling the node editor previews as well did the trick for me - runs more stable now, thank you! : )

As for the driver issue - I was in the same boat, yup. 522 doesn't work for me, but I'll try to stay on 552.22 for a while longer, which is what I used for 2023 as well. Just a bit worried that other software might at some point prefer/require newer ones? But yeah, if it's up to Nvidia then it's up to Nvidia, so fingers crossed there!

I've updated the Windows builds with a hot-fix for the crash/deadlock issues. Please download and install it!
OSX builds will be updated soon!

Viewport lag is still there when imagers are enabled, fyi.

Do you have any plan to release Octane 2023 for C4D 2025?

It is most likely not a thing I could not do something on plugin side.
We will make that happen tonight if we don't hit to any issues

Just updated both C4D 2025 and Octane to the latest. From my few minutes of testing, it appears much more stable now, and I am not experiencing the lag issues and crashes with material and opengl previews turned on. Well done and thanks for the quick fix!
