The Octane plugin is enabled at the plugin list, but not the current render. Important step: choose Rhino renderer, disable the Octane UI at the properties tab, close Rhino and restart (Also for this test I disabled the Vray plugin before, so it's not loaded during the crash. Rhino crash with and without Vray is loaded at the background, so the Octane crash shouldn't be caused by the Vray plugin).
Than I open a file where I used Vray for Rhino before (like attached file) and enable the Octane UI at the properties tab . Than I go to the object properties. Octane message for better preview is shown. Press ok. Crash.
I'm still not getting the crash. My workflow is..

1) Select Rhino Render as the current renderer
2) Untick the OctaneRender tab from the tab panels
3) Restart Rhino
4) Load the scene (the Authenticated Octane dialog pops up)
5) Go to the Materials tab and click any material - the "Set the current Rhino renderer to OctaneRender in order to correctly render preview thumbnails." pops up, but no crash.

EDIT: I have changed the plugin in the next release so the "Set the current Rhino renderer to OctaneRender in order to correctly render preview thumbnails." msg only pops if you click an Octane Material.
