I've added a night version of the well scene. It was a long render (7hr, my longest to date - good that I have a GTX 460, so I can sleep peacefully 2 meters from the comp  ), but resulted in little noise and no fireflies - despite it's lit mainly by emitters.

Se this post down at the end for more shots & specs

I love the night shot, it's got a nice feeling. Lights in octane are so much fun now, and I'm surprised at the almost lack of hotpixels we get in this last builts (they've done some magic trick to the code but they don't want us to know so we won't tell anybody  )

Thanks, kubo. I got some fireflies in Octane 2.43 with daylight but nothing too serious. When I left the night scene to cook and went to sleep, bright spots were still appearing not disappearing, so I was kinda afraid what I would find in the morning. :) As it turned out everything cleared out. Converging speed with pathtracing is of course not too impressive, but hopefully this will change with 'RLT'...

it RLT is half as good as PT, then I might have a problem with my girl! She already thinks I spend too much time with my noisy and beloved Octane (sure, it's nvidia's 470 fault but explain that to her  )
