This is exciting and the idea that I may be able to render hypervoxels from TFD in Lightwave is really cool (especially if its fast). However, I can't help feeling there are a few issues that are still floating around with the 2.X cycle. The only one I'm certain I still have an issue with is displacement on organic shapes that requre to use the shift parameter. Still experiencing tears, but I thought I had seen people still haveing issues with rounding.

Will the issues with 2.x be resolved while we're still in that cycle?

- Advanced live texture baking: A feature that’s most beneficial for use in real-time game engines, OctaneRender 3 supports unbiased GPU texture baking (UV or volumetric) of global illumination, spherical harmonics and 8D light fields in Unreal Engine 4 and Unity plugins.

I really hope this feature will be aslo in the standalone or maya plugin, because I would love to use this.

You will be shocked by how good your renders look in GearVR. Seeing Octane on it is like nothing else in VR - I have to agree with Carmack on this one :)
The question is:

Note 4 or Galaxy S6?

Good question. - S6 is definitely better if you can wait a little for that one. You can plug in USB while im VR which is a big improvement.

Anyone know if Octane 3.0 volumetrics could possibly do anything with Realflow data? That would rock, in a big way. I have never actually used Realflow, but since you can rent it by the week, if a fluids gig popped up, it would be sweet to be able to make quick work of the fluid renders using Octane...
