Using Subivision in the octane properties gives out strange results;
subdivision uv problem.png
with Blenders Subdiv
subdivision with Blender Subdiv.png
also when you have 2 Meshes which are using the same Texture
and activate the Octane Subdivision above 1, you can move/randomize the UV
at 1 the Uv resets to its original state.

Hi,

I bought a complete extra set for another machine at the office and the whole setup works just fine there!

The first license I purchased yesterday is still not working. still: waiting for image ...

I uninstalled all my octane render installations (which is actually a complete version history of the software from the early start so that's kinda sad), I uninstalled all my blender installs, I uninstalled blender server. rebooted several tiems disabled firewalls and virus scanners and then I installed standalone 1.2, blender octane and the server. Stil no luck :-(

standalone rendering works fine :-(

Is it possible that it has to do with the IP of the octane server? can I change that?

I'm realy desperate. especially because the other one at the office works like a charm.

thnx for your help.

It seems something wrong is with your license activation not with the plugin... I will ask to check it, when will reach the office.

I was in the same trouble. Try to delete all the blender preference files from your users appdata folder. This fixed foe me.

Anyway try to launch octaneblender from cmdline.

If you on windows launch the commandline and navigate to the blenderoctane folder then launch the app.

Create a new scene choose octane render as render engine and add a basic mesh add a material and check envinroment settings then hit render.

Alt tab to cmdline and you get some messages. Maybe you get some useful stuff. I get only node type shader supported or similar.

So try to completely remove all apps - blender, octane server- delete preferences and reinstall.
