Don't use dispersion for windows. Only use dispersion if you need to, because it introduces spectral noise which takes longer to clear.

Regarding sun through glass: I haven't tested it, but I don't think you can get sun light through specular materials. You still have to use the architectural glass trick. Maybe Roeland can correct me, if I'm wrong here.

I've never had luck with updating any NVIDIA drivers. Anytime I've ever had to change out from the default (sent stock) manufacturer's version sent with the card, I always experience system freezing results. It seems now I have Random system seizures whenever I have a browser open for a while (could very well be conflicting with a web based flash activation, seems to be because anytime I go to youtube for some background tunes the system locks up after a minute or two) but, in order to have CUDA 4 I 'must' have the newest graphics driver for my card, right? There is no other way to have the newer CUDA version without updating the entire card's driver?

Hell, even Window's crash reporter knows what's up, after re-booting after a lock-up.

There is only problem with the 2.47 PMC release and multiple camera nodes.

On my system I can not switch between different camera nodes.
Did anybody else experience the same problem?

I hope RS will fix this soon because it is the major reason I can't use it for production.

It's already fixed :)

We probably won't make it this week, but we plan to release a new test version next week. It will include the new render framework with the new multi-GPU code and a few other goodies. It will then also be possible to use an ATI card for display and NVIDIA cards for rendering.

Without messing with drivers or requiring multiple monitors?

Yup. We don't have ATI cards at work, but a partner of us has tested it and said it works. And I don't see a reason why it shouldn't. The graphics driver of the display card must support OpenGL 2.1 or higher, but that should be no issue these days.

To FamilyGuy: For display these GPUs should work, too (as long as they support OpenGL 2.1 or higher). How good/bad I don't know, but we will learn it from you guys anyway ;)
