that's cool. i think we can interest or supply you on any octane related stuff. I think also we need some tutorial packages and preset scene packages for education or selling. I'll be happy if you discus with me about this issues.Subroutine49690 wrote:Hi Aoktar,
first I have to tell you again, that for me Octane is one of the greatest innovations of the year and its my absolute favorite render-engine. I also showed it on the PIXEL-Vienne and was a big WOW-Effect. I heard shouts like "this is the future of rendering" and so on...
- So please don't forget telling CG-Shop when the final release is ready and we can start reselling / promoting / train... (if youre interested)
So far everything works extreme fine; only one thing happens some times. When I render bigger stills (up to 6k) that needs few houres and lots of samples (up to 15000) in the Picture-Viewer, sometimes cinema crashes at that moment when the rendering is finished. Its hard to reproduce (needs lot of time) but is it helpful if I send you a c4d-bug-report or something to find out what the problem is?
Other questions:
- When is it planed to implement backplates in octene-plugin. Thats a feature I could really need.
- Maybe you could also have a look to the C4D-Layer-Shader. In combination with People in Motion (Arndt v. K.) octane cannot bake/read it.
Thanks a lot, and best regards from Austria.
I had the same problems with C4D R14 as well as R15 (Studio). I'm using the actual octane-Plugin 0.87b and I have the actual standalone version 1.20 installed. nvidia-driver is 320.57 (with newer driver-version octane couldn't find the Titans)aoktar wrote:For crash, what's your version? this crashes can shows a vram limitation. yes please send me any output(bugreport.zip or octane console output)-You can use background object+standart material for backplating.-i cannot understand second question, sorry
...and only sometimes.Subroutine49690 wrote:It seems to be the point when cinema tries to save the image to the temp folder of the picture viewer because it renders till the end without problems. Had the same issue with different renderings but only when render over longer time one single image.
YES this is it. Backplate works. I only tried with RGB and that gives no resault...that was the problem.aoktar wrote:There is all samples. a few sample use background. take a look to names.http://render.otoy.com/customerdownload ... amples.zip
