Hey Aoktar,
I had a problem yesterday while rendering out an animation where the Render layer mask would freeze halfway though the samples. It wasn't consistent as to which frame would lock up. Have you have any issues with this?
Secondly, is the network rendering not working in 2.21.1? I keep getting invalid version even though everything is set to the 2.21.0 standalone.

-Your versions should be same, 2.21.1 is not equal to 2.21.0

Ahh! I completely missed the 2.21.1 Standalone, everything is working now. I'm really liking this latest version!

or you try the c4d native sub-frame-motion blur..
if you try so you can reduce the spp per frame drastically, because c4d will render up to 49frames per frame.

While waiting for the SDK to be updated, you could try increasing the Kernel max samples. My renders were constantly freezing in picture viewer when I tried setting the Kernel samples really low.shawnfrueh wrote:Hey Aoktar,

The samples were at 256 (the masks) can't go much lower. I actual upped them to 512 while the beauty was at 1600 but I found a solution using team-viewer which makes absolutely no sense but running the computer through that solved all of the crashing. Its been going for over 5 hours now with no crashes. close team-viewer and its back to getting stuck every 10-20 minutes.
Since i installed the 2.21.1 version i´ve always get this errror massage at start! (3 times in a row)
Standalone version is 2.17!
I also tryed to reinstall both the standalon incl. the plugin but it doesn´t changed a thing!
Also if i try in cinema 4D to open the live material libary from octan it crahses.... =/
Why is in my downloadsection the cinema plugin just max. 2.16?!

1. On encountering DLL errors at startup, be sure to delete the other .cdl64 files (R14, 15 etc.) in the plugin folder.
It's 2.16 in download section because that's the last stable version. They don't list the new one cause it's not ready for production (development build). Lots of glitches and stuff going wrong because they added new features.
