With last version R4 I get almost no automatic material updates in a LiveViewer
Please see screenshot
I've changed color from blue to white, and material type from Glossy to Diffuse, but no update in a liveviewer. Other nodes like projection or transform with no updates too.
Updates come after pressing Send Scene button only.
Thank you

What happens if you change some parameters after that?desire wrote:With last version R4 I get almost no automatic material updates in a LiveViewer

Thank you for answer.aoktar wrote: What happens if you change some parameters after that?
After pressing Send Scene button nothing changes. The same not-updating material.
But I figured up some details with this issue:
- material that has update trouble is assigned to an object with ObjectTag (I'll put a screenshot with settings at the end of the message).
- updates come with Camera object changing point of view (cam movement). But works with Camera that was in the scene earlier only. Didn't understand. Creating new Camera or copying original and changing point of view through them get no update result.
- in a Live Viewer if make right click over that material (assigned to obj+objtag) - menu shows like there is no material assigned - offers to create new material and not offer to select/copy/paste (screenshot below)
- other objects of a scene that have ObjectTag - have no problems with updates.
Solution that I found - re-assign to object. Remove+assign.
Thank you
Desire,
That's not a common issue. Even not an issue that's seen unless something wrong or unexpected at setup or settings. Is it happening with every scene? Even with a new scene? Please delete Oct. dat from preferences directory and run C4D.

You're right it's not a common issue. Hard to find more conditions for the occurrence of the issue at the moment.aoktar wrote:Desire,

Do you mean .dat file on a path C4Ddir\plugins\c4doctane\Libs300?

Is there anything I should know when rendering with Cinema Picture viewer?
Some instanced objects (not render instances) will render properly on "Liveview window" and will render all white shaded on Picture viewer. Why could it be?
PS.: now I made these instanced objects editable, they render properly... go figure.
