Hi,
the last release work fine, only the material preview seems really slow. What could be the reason?
MAC 10.12.6 + GTX 1080Ti - Driver NVIDIA 387.178
SLAVE Win 10 + 3x GTX 1080Ti + 2x GTX 980Ti - Driver NVIDIA 399.24

Hi Ahmet, Yes I understand: too much things you're working on together and here, with this function convert to sub-material, I well imagine too much parameters to test. But, if we can help a little for checking this very useful function, voilà: with last R4, the value of roughness is missing for the sub-material obtained by conversion. I am sending you by MP a file with two materials with which you can see that the problem is occurring.tim_grove wrote:aoktar wrote:Thanks guy! I'm not surprised, too much things I'm working on together. Please send me which parts are missing. Btw I fixed another problems of converting mix materials to blend material. Will be there for next release.Guy_frog wrote:Hi Ahmet, this function convert to sub_material is really excellent! For this R3, I spotted some cases where settings are not yet transferred to the sub_material. I 'll sending you by PM a material with which this pb occurs: for Diffuse / Color and for Index / Rgb IOR: the second red value remains on 0.
For example have you tested on different scenes?stefano-dear wrote:Hi,

It seems that it continues to update the material preview without stopping. I have to wait a couple of minutes and then everything is ok...aoktar wrote:For example have you tested on different scenes?stefano-dear wrote:Hi,

I also found this problem with network rendering:
Launching net render slave (4000017) with master 10...
unpacked file image has unexpected type
didn't receive all required images from master
invalid message received from network connection
slave crashed or was stopped via CTRL-C
reached the maximum number of consecutive runs of a slave (5) -> bailing out
Thanks

I made a video that shows that when I change a material everything becomes very slow until Octane regenerates the material. I try to move the camera but it responds after 2 o 3 seconds..aoktar wrote:For example have you tested on different scenes?stefano-dear wrote:Hi,

How big your texture preview size? Try to use default size and please share your scene with me if possiblestefano-dear wrote: I made a video that shows that when I change a material everything becomes very slow until Octane regenerates the material.
