OSX itself is not normal for meTBA3D_70 wrote:I noticed on mac, that you can´t delete a material in the node manager.
If I press the mac-delete button --> nothing happens.
If I open the material node manager new again --> all disconnected notes are gone/deleted.
Is this normal behave ?

Slider is ok on me. Any images, scenes etc.. to show it?dinf wrote:Yay, the shift of Houdini VDB is now also in C4D Alpha 3 goneGreat, thanks!
Ahmet, do you think you'll get the cut sides also away, later on?
Sliders: confirmed. The middle position of all sliders seam to be now at 25% instead of 50%.
Cutting of volume's edges? We don't cut any volumes. Are you sure that you correctly created and exported?

Same VDB is ok in standalone app and was in Alpha 2 as written some posts before. I have a closer look and come back later with stuff.aoktar wrote:Cutting of volume's edges? We don't cut any volumes. Are you sure that you correctly created and exported?

I don't know if this has been addressed yet but I am finding that the time elapsed/estimate in the info bar in both the live viewer and picture viewer are wildly inaccurate. For example, I will start a render and in seconds the elapsed time will read some number of minuets. Then it seems to jump around wildly. The time estimate behaves similarly and doesn't come close to final time.
Another note, it may be a side effect of the frame buffer being out of core now, but it seems like I am getting delays/lags in sample updates in the live viewer. It seems to update the viewer in 100+ sample increments causing delays of several seconds of any update to the viewer.
I really have only tested v3 with TFD scenes so it may be specific to volume handling?
Running R16 and the latest nvidia drives as of last night (can't recall the version number).
By the way, v3 if looking very promising... excited to see the rest of announced features.

A Nodegraph Scene View? Oh, wow, since when? Great!aoktar wrote:Dinf,
Check the slider result from LV->Help->Show Octane Nodegraph as in image.
What do I have to do to get the scene visible in the Nodegraph?
However, don't get me wrong: the values are ok. The slider positions aren't. The middle position is a 1/4 value of the biggest value. If this is 1.0, the middle position shows 0.25.
This is mostely a cosmetic thing but in some cases irritating. Have a look at the RotX and RotY sliders for an environment texture wich goes -1 from the middle to 1 on the right. Same for the phase slider wich is also a -1.0 to 1.0 slider. The only exception I found so far is the Diffuse Depth in the Kernels, wich does neither show the half (4 of 8) nor the 1/4 (2). And the RGB values behave a bit strange in connection with the color picker.
Look at the green underlined.
As said, mostly cosmetique stuff (to me).

Just a heads up, for the OSX build, TurbulenceFD scenes aren't rendering. I've downloaded the demo scenes just in case anyone is wondering.
I've tried cached simulations as well as interactive sims to no avail. I've double-checked the render settings to make sure Octane was last in the list below TurbulenceFD Renderer. I also tried rendering to the Picture Viewer, but it's currently not showing any type of TFD rendering.

Dinf,
Didn't aware this. I think that's a problem with C4D sliders. Switch back to Octane types.

Ok but still having some conflicts in TFD conversion. I'll make an update soon.David_S wrote:OSX version renders TFD fine here. I run latest OSX version, R16, latest webdriver and Cuda driver.
But I didn't try the demoscenes.
Best regards
