yes, the extreme dof makes it look like a miniature... wouldn't be possible to take this shot with a normal lens (with a tilt-shift lens you could)... I don't know if you have to adjust the scale, perhaps adjusting the aperture would suffice

Thanks Proupin, i will try to better adjust the DOF, but for now I have been adding geometry and textures. The next one will fix that problem and hopefully there will be a new version with the linux hdr problem solved and I can finish lighting.

Here is the latest version.

Was it your intention to do a render looks like Barbi funfair. If not its something wrong with the DOF. It looks like a small model of big funfair.

Radiance, thank you very much, I will keep fighting trying to improve the result and if possible, surprise you a little bit more :-)

@Yijian4515, the previous render were 10minutes, the new has been 20minutes. My machine is a QuadCore Q9300, GTX260, under linux.

I modified a bit the scene to not look so miniature, but I shall continue with it.

you should give the baloons some transparency, they currently look like they weight a ton each :)
increase the DOF, its out of balance and the background doesnt blend in that good.

Work on the wetness look on the street that isnt covered in wate ( the difference between water and dry land is way to strong )

keep em comming.

Thanks [gk], pixym and yijian4515 for all yours comments.

@[gk] I tried to give more transparency (now have 0.9) and did not like the result, sss would need to improve. As for the rest, I'm at it, but with problems.

@pixym, model is really miniature, although I have been changing a lot the look, scale remains as miniature. I have not yet clear what will be the final appearance or if make two versions.

In this version I've basically been working on fixing some problems in geometry (smooth some areas and correct some errors), and I encountered a serious problem, because when increase slightly the number of triangles, I found that the scene has left working, which has complicated the process. (I'll explain more in another support post)
