Is there an ETA on a non-beta build? VERY interested in migrating.
Hello,
Running a Houdini 19.5.769 job on Deadline 10.3
Working great on Windows using this build of Octane Beta
On the Linux boxes I get a consistent error crash showing :

I should say that the same .hip file opens, no errors and renders correctly in GUI mode on Linux.
Rendering the .hip from Deadline seems to invoke something that breaks specific to Octane. Of course it's worked in previous 2022 versions so it's a deal breaker at the moment for us to not have the farm working.
Thanks!

Hi Renbry,
Thank you for the post.
Does it crash every scene or only this scene? Is there any script via Hython?
Also, please confirm if you are running the default Houdini. The Py37 version might not work.
Please note the build is still beta and not meant to be used for production.
cheers
Kind Regards

We just had a stable release: viewtopic.php?f=102&t=82376 so no beta release is planned.timcgi wrote:Is there an eta for a 2023.1.4 beta build for Houdini 20?
We are planning to release Houdini 20 support this week.
