Loving the new Analytic light, just curious though, is it normal for the light to get diffuse contribution from the environment when it is set to a very low power?

I mean where texture is generated by OSL which use UV map. Some of the OSL codes doesn't update in Octane Live Viewer when UV texture is changed.aoktar wrote:What is OSL node based materials?SSmolak wrote:Manipulating in UV doesn't update in OSL node based materials. It needs renderer to restart.
But there is more important issue - all C4D Scene Nodes doesn't update in LV if UV was changed inside node. It needs to disable/enable C4D Capsule to refresh Octane view. So changing of UV inside nodes doesn't trigger LV to refresh.

Thank you for your answer. I'll prepare a scene in a few days and will make a post with pictures.aoktar wrote: There is a new bump height parameter which affects the appearance. Please share your problem with some picture and example scenes
Using right mouse click on text input field arrows reset parameter value to its default value in C4D by default. This doesn't work in Octane for nodes like ColorCorrection and other. It would be great if that feature will work in Octane nodes too.

The last I saw was that it is planned for 2023.2. There's a demo scene/app you can download if you want to play around a bit.oblivion wrote:That automatic connect feature for pbr textures is pretty dope! Thank you for implementing it, Aoktar! This saves a lot of time
Will we see the realtime Brigade rendering in this release for c4d? It was mentioned in the 2023 presentation

Transmission and Opacity doesn't work with the new PBR tags.
It would be great to automatically change all grayscale inputs ( bump, roughness, specularity, opacity... ) to float texture type.
And fourth PBR option to automatically added Color Correction node to Diffuse after Image Texture node and Octane Gradient to all grayscale inputs.
After changing HUE range in Color Correction node there is need to change shift and alt keys behavior while clicking on hue parameter arrows.

I looks like a spline with object tag, hair tab bug is back. I swear this was fixed in a previous 2022 build.
The hair tab with the same root thickness and tip thickness is expected to visually be the same around a spline.
