I don't have any working build for that. Having problems with OSX as always. We'll look for how to fix it.

Quick maintenance update is out. It's 2022.1-XB4-(R2). Highly advice to update with it.

Latest version should give ZERO lags while you're working with any materials in node editor or material manager. I've spent much time to improve it. Let me know how it works with heavy scenes.

Yes I see it - amazing ! I'm playing small scene ( but geometry large ) at the moment and exactly as you say - zero lag which I had before even in this scene.

EDIT : it can be only little laggy when multiple materials are selected at once on huge geometry object like tree but strange is that this occur only when I don't move viewport for some amount of seconds after material change. When viewport is always moving there is no lag.

GI Clamp and Ray Epsilon slider max values from kernel settings are still too large.

OSL scripts added from the new custom OSL scripts folder doesn't work in node editor. They are always empty even reset& compile doesn't work for them.
Genetally any OSL node doesn't work from custom folder ( it destroy node ) - only from "external" works fine :

EDIT : It seems like R2 doesn't have lag when multimaterials are selected and edited at once but now only first selected material update its preview - editor viewport update correctly :

Additional info about laggy node editor using new style which I wrote some time ago. It is caused by node editor window size - more larger = more laggy. Please test I don't know that this is caused by my older CPU. "old" node style works fine.

New style drawing highly CPU extensive with AVX extensions. This different than what I talk with LAGGY. Here it looks like long CPU cycle because of you have an old CPU with bigger drawing surface. So choose one of these
1-Use old style
2-Buy new CPU
3-Use smaller node window

Octane Scatter object display type has totally wrong positions :

RefShader is buggy while it is connecting to Scatter Shader Noise - it works fine at start but completely not updating while manipulating Scatter Noise.
Also removing it from Material RefShader removes it from Scatter too.

- Octane Scatter is not registered as "generator" in Cinema 4D so commands like use/toggle generators doesn't work for Scatter.
- using effectors cause that Scatter preview colors are all black

- default GI clamp value cause many fireflies on reflections from HDRI map. GI clamp = 1 works fine like 500 in previous versions. Something wrong is here like Ray Epsilon.

Great progress with this plugin, exporting the scene with materials to live viewer is blazing fast! In a first test all is rendeing as expected and smoothly, and my scene is a really huge and complex one. But still all networking options are disabled on Mac (running on a Macbook Pro M1 Max with 64G RAM). Will we get network rendering back in the next few weeks? Hopefully with CUDA processing (at least on windows) together with M1? I'm trying to use less and less my older Mac Pro with CUDA setup and 2020 version of Octane for variuos compatibility reasons.
Specs: Apple MacBook Pro M1 max 64GB 2TB, MacOS 12.5 / MacPro 5,1 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8G, MacOS 10.13.6 / Mac Pro 5,1 with AMD RX5700 8G, MacOS 12.3.1 / HP Z600 with NVIDIA 3060 RTX 12G, Windows 10 pro + Netstor GPU box, 4 x NVIDIA GTX 980ti 6G.
