.
C4D R20 and Win10 (current) and I found a bug and did a lot of testing to pinpoint it (yay):

Enabling Cryptomatte "Instance" crashes 2021.1.1 and C4D while it is trying to save the EXR(octane):

I could provide a scene but it's really just a camera, a cube and a daylight object. No materials.

In 2021.1.R7 it works fine.

Well, that's one note I did not expect :´-D

So it is not a plugin problem and therefore not fixed in 2021.1.1-R2, and will be fixed in the next Octane version? I will wait. Thanks.

Hello, is already implemented Scatter Poisson disk sampling in C4D plugin? I haven´t noticed any changes in the scatter distribution, or am I missing something?

Hi there,

Switching from 2020.2 to 2021.1 I have noticed the way the materials and colors behave differently. Is it possible to revert back to old color behaviour from the settings? Changing the white light spectrum and use old color pipeline didn't do anything.

2020:

2021.1:

EDIT: Ok so I had to go back and change the color space options for each material from non-color data to sRGB or sRGB linear. Is there a way to retain these settings from old versions?
EDIT 2: For some reason on some scenes the textures are already set to linear sRGB and the render output is exactly the same as the old one.

In versions using the new color management system, the image inputs allow for a color space to be set. Note that sRGB will be at gamma 2.2 regardless of your gamma setting. This is a new option. The method that matches previous versions of Octane prior to the color management system is Linear sRGB + Legacy Gamma. This option will default to a gamma of 2.2 for backwards compatibility; if you need linear textures, set the gamma to 1.0.

Thanks, but the problem is on some scenes the textures come as "Non-color Data", not sRGB or Linear sRGB

Non-Color Data is used for Normal maps, etc. Non-Color Data will produce the same result as the Linear sRGB + Legacy Gamma setting.
