Hello,
I'm trying out the new version but I get following error when I render in the live viewer:
perhaps someone knows what this cause?
I'm trying out the new version but I get following error when I render in the live viewer:
Code: Select all
Tried to access pin via an invalid ID P_INDEX (80)
Tried to access null node pin
Can't write float to static pin 'unknown' (P_UNKNOWN, type PT_UNKNOWN) of node '' (NT_UNKNOWN, 00007FFD83F23870)
Failed to allocate page-locked memory
are you trying a big scene? Looks like a memory error due to out of core!crush4 wrote:Hello,

Hello, yes it's a very huge scene but it was running without problems with the 2019 versionaoktar wrote:are you trying a big scene? Looks like a memory error due to out of core!crush4 wrote:Hello,

not surprising, this is an experimental development build. It will help to find the issue if you mind to share your scene.crush4 wrote:Hello, yes it's a very huge scene but it was running without problems with the 2019 version

Very stable and it opens older projects no problem. Nice!
A couple small things that I'm assuming weren't implemented in this build:
- Couldn't find the ACES options or OCIO display management options
- the new OSL procedural materials won't download into a project.
Thank you again, Aoktar, for your great work. And the entire team at OTOY.

I've sent you the scene in a private message. Perhaps you can also take a look on my scene setup? I'm very new to octane.aoktar wrote:not surprising, this is an experimental development build. I didn't included ACES yet, I wished to put a build asap for testing RTX feature because I heard a lot of swearing about we didn't offer that. I'll add missings and fix some uncomplete parts in this period.BCres wrote:Very stable and it opens older projects no problem. Nice!

Mean OSL version of C4D shaders?

Hi, testing the new c4D plugin on a complex scene - when RTX is activated - it takes longer than when not active..
and in both cases the render comes without certain lighting and scatter objects.
Am I doing something wrong or is just my scene?
(NVIDIA Studio Drivers up to date, C4D version R21.026, Octane version OctaneRender Studio 2020.1 XB1)
