Nice improvements to the interface. Would love to see C4D remember Denoiser Device settings as it does with every other Octane setting.
I see this version also crashes C4D more often - compared to R3.
Thanks, Aoktar

I'm honestly curious. I haven't crashed once w/any of the 2018 versions. Not on either of my two PC systems. What is your platform and config (Nvidia driver version)?
@Kalua, could you give more details for crashes? It can be Cuda errors or something else. We need to know what you mean

still no time frame for the release of the "all access" plugin for C4D? sorry to repeat this again and again, but i need this for my work and actually paid the upgrade already 2 weeks ago. to solve the problem, otoy was very friendly to give me a temporary access to the license for the 4.x version of the plugin until 21.4. - but i don't know what happens after that date yet. waiting for an answer...

They are not CUDA errors... I also find 2018 versions very stables. These errors are C4D related wich didnt happen with 2018.1 R3. Maybe is related to the R20.059 upgrade with 2018.1.1??? Just my guess.Iceman9 wrote:Kalua wrote:Nice improvements to the interface. Would love to see C4D remember Denoiser Device settings as it does with every other Octane setting.

I'm running the latest c4d version here with no issues. Maybe it's related to some other plugins in your system? Or perhaps you are using some combination of features I've not yet used. Hope you get it sorted out.

Yes. Maybe. I rolled back to R3 and I´m getting half the bugs> I´m currently working on a very heavy scene so it contributes a bit. I also PMed Aoktar to explaiin it.Iceman9 wrote: I'm running the latest c4d version here with no issues. Maybe it's related to some other plugins in your system? never mind and sorry to bother anyone, for some reason it is working now. this new licensing system and its namings (enterprise, studio, all access, license, subscription) are a bit confusing, honestly, especially if you did upgrade from V4 and a transition from another platform...3dworks wrote:great to see a new build. as an all access subscriber, i was wondering, when will we get a C4D plugin which can be used with this kind of license?
at least for now i cannot see any downloads for C4D on my account subscription list, see screenshot...

cheers

Hi aoktar.
Today I got my upgraded computer back and reinstalled everything. Also I am new to a 2018 license and I am wondering, why I can not activate my GTX970 and GTX780.
A: It is because I dont understand my license?
B: Was my PC hardware messed up in the PC store while upgrading and transitioning my system to a new case and new motherboard?
C: Does 2018 not support certain GPU architectures?
So many questions I am so confused...

Hi
This release isn't working in OSX, it may be due to the latest version of Cuda not working on any version of octane given 719 and other errors.
This one works https://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-cu ... river.html
2018 does work but is very unstable on anything above a few objects. V4 seems to be working great, but I have just upgraded and can't use the new 2018 version.
I have an egpu running a GTX 1080ti currently on 10.13.6 but also had the same issues on older updates of the OS.
