Are the same as your signature?
Can you share the scene used for testing?

Hi Beppe,

These are my specs:
iMac - 4GHz i7 - 24 GB RAM- OSX 10.12 - 2x GTI 980 Ti - 2x eGPU Thunderbolt Bizon BOX - C4D R17

Here you can see the speed difference with the same scene.

I have uploaded the scene here:

Hi Stefano,
thanks for sharing the scene.
I'm quite sure that the issue depends on your setting in the Devices tab, and in particular, the Priority option:
with Priority Low
with Priority Low
no Priority
no Priority
Probably in Standalone the Priority option is disabled or set to High, so the GPUs are used almost at full power.

ciao beppe

P.S. what are you using to get the GPU graph under Os X?

Thank you very much Beppe!! The issue was the priority setting :)
For the GPU graph under Os X I use iStatmenu, if you select the processor of the GPU, you can see the graph.

I'm rendering a very big image, 6622x4677 px but the two graphics cards work one at a time!
See the video:

Why is this happening?

Thanks

Unfortunately I cannot share this scene because it's a scene of an work in development.
However seems to be no problems with the RAM

Hi,
this discussion is quite old, sorry, what is exactly your issue?

Please, download and run GPU-Z:
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/
And share a screenshot from the Graphics Card tab, for Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU, thanks.

Please, also go to c4doctane Settings/Devices panel, press the Device Settings button, and share a complete screenshot of both panels, thanks.

Then share another screenshot similar to this:
