Would it be possible to add a refresh scatter action on a group node which will reload all the files in the scatter nodes for this group. I have some grouping nodes with about 50 scatters and when I regenerate them I must refresh one by one or reload the project :-/
Enrico, there is a script lying around that does that.
Here it is:
YES, exactly what I need :)
Thanks

Hi Franchais,

Is already there, please use ID layer the number as 1 for red, and 2 for green and finally "4" for Blue. number 3 is for yellow  but is working well for Nuke and AE.

here a screen and orbx.

Cheers,
JO

Yes - I vote for it too, especially with displacements.

you guys need to make more you tube videos with various tutorials like about AS best practices, etc. The software is growing and growing but there are not that many video tutorials out there

Does AS work on Render Layers? I am re-rendering out a chunk of something using render layers, after a client changed this chunk, and expected to zip through this render like a mofo. I don't appear to be getting any increase in speed. And do I have it right that a higher threshold like 0.03 or 0.04 should yield faster renders (though maybe just a wee bit of noise)?.. Or do it have that backwards?

I have no idea on how to optimise the adaptive sampling...

Is it possible to get some kind of image side-by-side with the render that shows a heatmap of where it sampeld? That would help a lot! (OctaneRender standalone)

Also:

I'd like to see a function where the connections between nodes turn into straight A to B. I am working with tons and tons of nodes (mostly procedurally generated by the Phantom tech) and when I try to drag the node view around it lags like hell. I am sure it is because of the curved connections.... please let me choose between a curve (what I assume is a lot of chained straight lines) and a straight A to B line.

I am working on the nodes with a 4K screen and i7 4790 (3.6-4.0 GHz). Soon my new rig with 7700K arrives but I think it will still lag on that...I really need a solution for faster UI.
