well..
just my 2 cents...
added a few relevant reference (like mention in the CG Society 2010 retrospective list) and the notable review by Lech Sokolowski (Evermotion page), and added the much needed 'category'- which wiki was asking for...
now its under 'rendering systems', rubbing its shoulders with Brazil, fryrender, indigo, lux, maxwell, yafa and other lesser mortals..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Rendering_systems

also did some clean-up of the 'Features' section, adding little more comprehension..

please do suggest improvements- now that it has begun...
and lets make it a thoroughly strong and well referenced page..
(of course its still tagged for 'notability' and 'wikification', needs more more work)...
good start radiant.. :)

also corrected the dead link from 'refractive software'- under introduction...
and changed the 'blender' link (it was pointing to actual kitchen blender :) )

i think introduction needs a bit of more work- as this is what pops out of the google search and is way too important...

I've added a few sentences to the intro.

Hm, apparently I can't upload images (screenshot, logo) since I created my account just now. So, if any of you has more mileage as wiki editor, upload some visual material.

I just took a quick skim of the wiki page. Is there another product called Octane that you are writing about because I am not aware of Octane have any motion blur ability or does it come with any exporters. There are exporters available but they do not come as standard. This was quite literally after a 2 minute skim. There is no point in making a wiki unless it is accurate.

Quote from octane render website (features page):
"Octane Render has built-in turntable and daylight simulation animation with true physically correct motion blur. "

anyway, its now edited on wiki page, and more clearly states that 'motion blur is for camera animation'

Well, exporters are not packed in the same zip (yet), but RS pays for (almost all of) their development, so they come with Octane. RS page also states that: Octane Render (Commercial Version) includes free plugins...

just removed the tags (for notability and wikification) from the top....
lets see what the wiki-bots do now...
hopefully it shud be okay now after all this editing...

well...it would be worth a shot- if RS also looks into it... it belongs to them only :)
