Grass over a huge area. What method?

Thanks beppe and djart! I will try the displacement which will come in handy in combo with scatter grass. Scatter small grass bushes also gave a forgiving result.

If Forester is an option I was able to put their preset grass in there and use way less grass to fill the ground but it would depend on your needs but with forester I can crank the scatter amount up pretty high

itoo forest is great if it works with cinema. You can have an option show grass in camera only

Itoo forest is only 3D max if im not wrong.
Forester looks like the most impressive scatter plugin for natural objects, the looks and the control seem to be very very good!
Its not cheap, but that is understandable. I would like to try this out, but there is no trial so i guess i hope i get answers by reading.
Never thought grass/plants and trees could be so mutch fun.

Yea forester is pretty solid I forgot how expensive it was I bought it for a project when it first came out so it paid for itself pretty much but its well and I find it works even better with the octane scatter function. I can chime in for Forester. The variety and control are excellent: you can modify leaf parameters and wind controls for what you need.
