OK, now I understand where is the source of a problem. Thank you for testing and the thorough description!
It is definitely related to recent FP bug fix: it improved the stability and robustness (eliminating crash), but this every-tick real-time check for deleted FP objects costs too much resources for the plugin.
I will try to find some solution to this... The bad thing here is - there is no support from Forest Pack library for 3rd party plugins to make it efficiently. But I'll see what can be done here...
3.14 version interactivity very slow!

My scene is large, looking in Forest Lister it shows just the grass to have 289.7k items. Below is a shot of the Forest Lister. This is the same scene that the exposure doesn't save correctly from the other forum.
Win 8.1 64 | AMD Firepro W7000 + Geforce GTX Titan X | i7 3930k | 32GB
I just threw together a quick test scene if you want to try that.

I've made a workaround eliminating this slowdown in THIS VERSION.
Must be OK, but let me know if you'll get same crashes again when switching FP objects during Octane interactive rendering... It works absolutely OK for me with your test-scene.
