Can you pass me the Alembic file so that I can have a look at it?

The new login system works in such a way that it will grab any available license for either standalone or the plugin you're working with.

You may find all info about the new licensing system here.

Just a heads up to all OSX users: We had to replace the OSX Standalone to solve a crash during authentication. The crash is caused by some code that tries to handle authentications of multiple Octane processes that are running at the same time. For now, we disabled this code, causing an incorrect error popup when multiple instances of Octane are running at the same time on the same OSX machine.

Hi Abstrax,

Where is this "adaptive subdivision surface method" coming from ? and what is it supposed to be useful for ?
As in my test, I can see this have nothing to do with the "Opensudiv catmull-clark adaptative" method, or even a view dependent method...
Is it supposed to be a "surface normal" dependent method ?

someone ?

Hi Marcus,
Success with your selectable Tone-mapping option! :D :D
Although I now need to have my 16x display card used in rendering as the Active Tonemapper, I can in fact now have the 1x cards do their rendering part, without freeze-crash!
Thank you for your work on this!

Thanks for your feedback. And the thanks goes to Thomas who did the actual implementation :)

Thanks for alpha) vdb grid mapping work great, but can u add a multi-channel grid? To be able to select more than one or combine two(or more) channel as one. Thanks)Image
Because Futefx has two channels the smoke and fire, they need to connect. I know that this can be done in Houdini, but it is not very convenient.
