Currently exporting even simple DAZ Studio animations to OR standalone as .ORBX seems still not fully operational.face_off wrote:I don't know. My best guess is that the partial render will be saved together with the source scene as an ORBX. So you could load the ORBX into Octane Standalone and continue rendering. Or perhaps there will be a new dialog window for plugins which list all the partial renders and you can load and continue them. But that's just a guess.Maybe they can be addressed when the save / resume render functionality is introduced?
If that will be possible in the OcDS plugin?

In this specific example:
The movement of the texture is working in OR standalone.
But the sphere is just sitting in place after export.

As far as I remember there was a statement saying that animation export to OR standalone and object motion blur in DAZ Studio are both linked together and on the to do list after OR3 is released.
Unless told otherwise I will wait with further animation testing until
- OctaneRender Cloud
- Save and Resume functionality
- Animation Export to OctaneRender standalone
- Object Motion Blur
are all completed and considered ready in either OR Standalone or the DS plugin as supportable.
-> Hopefully after the official OR3 release it will be more clear how animation features of plugins, standalone and cloud are linked together.
