Hmm ok. Do you get to the voxelizing stage or does it die before the voxelizing? Do the demo scenes work?

Cheers,
Marcus

Hi Marcus,

I've attached a scene that made 1.23 crash when importing the obj. (that's bad geometry, but Octane shoudn't crash anyway). May be you want to test it against 1.24?

Cheers,
Lionel

Hey all,

what we need to determine now is if this release solves the problems with the previous 2.4 released two days ago and if it's good to go, as others are patiently awaiting the builds for the remaining platforms,
Could people test and report regarding the issues that we fixed too ?

Thanks,
Radiance

thanks!
btw in ver 2.41, the sunlight does pass thru the glass (in pathtracing mode)

attached is scene rendered with pathtracing on ver 2.41

Also, i usually try to save the camera nodes as external files, and then upload them back again in case i need to change camera angles. But everytime (even in previous versions), when i join an imported camera node to the mesh preview render target- the camera angle remains the same (same as previous camera before joining the node)- until i tweak (or change some parameter of) the previous camera which was just disconnected from the node..then the camera angle shows correctly.
I am sure this is just a small bug- and can easily be rectified in future versions.
If this is fixed (i tried it in ver 2.41 also, but didnt work) at least we can quickly skip thru various saved camera angles..

Many times as i work i have a lot of materials on my scenes and its terrible to float over every triangel node to see its name
Can you program nodes like when i select material with material picker i want that node to become red or any other color :) you can choose

OMG

+1

I was just thinking of that like yesterday, the totally same thing

Vital signs here after change of driver and Octane.
I notice Centre View not working properly in Graph editor or at least with a wide .obj node ie. with many mats.
Dont have much time to test today.
Let you know... ;)

Still some bugs from previous reports -
Loss of colour to white when switching mat type.
'Reflection' label not always showing - 'Specular' instead
