Hello,
i downloaded the LW 2.0 plugin, installed it (i previously had installed the 2.0 standalone)
Standalone works fine, but the plugin doesn't activate, when i click, nothing happens,
and i don't see the 2.0 plugin in my licence accounts, nor the voucher you described.
What did i missed?
Thnaks a lot for your help

Try this:
"If your new 2.0 plugin license doesn't just appear in the account, you have to go back to the upgrade page with the blue truck on (at the 'home' of the site) and click upgrade again. Then, it pops up just the plugin upgrade, for 39.95. But when you actually go to buy it, it's free"

Yes, if you have only one LW plugin for each standalone license, it should be free. Please contact with [email protected] and ask them about what could be the problem.Acrom wrote:Hello,

Remember that if you have more than one plugin (for example one standalone, but two plugins for two 3D applications) only one plugin is free updated.

Lightwave 11.5 is not formally supported by the 2.0 plugin ... there was some changes in the Lightwave SDK from 11.5 to 11.6 that add some troubles to support the new Octane 2.0 features, like the motion blur in the instances.vpii wrote:It looks like instance and motion blur on deform are broke in 11.5 but work in 11.6 can someone else confirm.
Why are you working with 11.5? ... if you need a custom build for 11.5 let me know, I can work on it, but it is better use Octane 2.0 in 11.6

I am a Kray user and 11.5 seems more stable for that plugin. Not a big deal to use 11.6 for Octane. I do however not see blur on deform in 11.6 I am loading the sample scene for deform blur. I see it is active in control for blur. Am I missing something?
Deformation and instances motion blur is only available in the final F9/F10 rendering. For deformation motion blur you should also enable the option in the render target root node options panel. It is disabled by default because deformations motion blur eat GPU memory, and should be always disabled if you don't need this feature.vpii wrote:I am a Kray user and 11.5 seems more stable for that plugin.
