If underclocking the card fixes the problem, I believe that your card has a hardware issue - which I suspect is that the clocks are not coming up to speed quickly enough. Depending on your card, you may be able to set the minimum speed (set it higher). Many people are currently using the GTX 580's with Octane 1.5 without a problem - but unfortunately those cards are getting old, so faults are starting to appear.

Hi Paul, my honesty let me write finally some words
. You were right, I have no idea how it was happened, but it was vcard's problem. On Saturday I bought "anyname" GF GT660 and successfuly tried to render few scenes mainly with volumetric light. Everything is ok both: with standalone 1.55 and plug-in 1.50. Probably it was unusual coincidence card failure and new update of software
.
I am ashamed
But I made decision about new PC set (as I understand Mac PRO with AMD cards is outside any discussion, I mean Mac with Parallel and MS Windows on deck), so tell me plaese (if You can) something... GF GTX 780 Ti will be good enough for Octane 2.0? What is the "forecast" for 2.0 version
?
Cheers Jacek
