Hi karba
I like the material projection in material now
it;s looks like uvw map

is it possible to show the material projection result in viewport not just the rendering?
just like when we did using uvw map?

Are there any restrictions when using Cast shadows on/off ?
For me it's not working properly. It has quite random behaviour and I don't get it when it works and when not.

Unfortunately it is impossible.
It is octane specific feature. I can't implement it inside 3dsmax.

Could someone confirm if Cast shadows on/off is working properly?

Turning off shadows makes no difference here. (using PT for rendering so it's not AO or smth like that)

For me it doesn't work with sun either. It works when I make a clean scene, but it stops working at some point.
I think it's a Max plugin bug.

Hmm. Maybe with hdri as sun its working
My scene use hdri

I not yet try with octane sun

is it a specular mat ?
I have strange behaviour with specular / cast shadow / fake shadow
