Hi, got some crashes by changing materials on different objects.
So not as bad as matej get it. (Same driver, same cuda toolkit :!: )
Not file dependent, after a few minutes octane crash.
Gpu temperature controlled.

Blender exporter work so far and during work it works fine.
Testing further.

Cheers mib

The output is always the same (once it was no line 27):

Activating cuda context on thread -716576496

Can you try installing the cuda 3.1 toolkit and drivers from: http://developer.nvidia.com/object/cuda ... loads.html
NOTE: this only applies to linux, windows users definately do not need to download and install any different tools or drivers than previous versions.

EDIT: Just verified with nostromo who made the linux build and it's built against cuda 3.1, that's likely the issue, so all linux users should upgrade to cuda 3.1 drivers and toolkit from the link posted above.

It seems Mouse Camera zooming is inverted by default (but not checked) compared to the last versions.

Just change the setting in your preferences.
We can change this for everyone if needed via octanelive without making a new release at any time.
Anyone against this ?

Yeah, it isn't a big deal by any means. Just wanted to point it out. I'm sure for some users, they would prefer it that way.

I installed toolkit 3.1, but there was no difference. Then I installed also the drivers from the link - 256.40 (I actually had 256.44 before), and it's still crashing everytime it tries to start rendering.

And now beta22 crashes on startup (memory corruption)...

Hi Radiance,

I have a issue with the rendering. Every 5 to 10 second the screen hangs sometimes included the mouse and then it's rendering again for 5 to 10 seconds. 2.2b works perfect and 2.3_2 worked too.

Can you try installing the latest linux drivers from the nvidia home page ?

new aa replacement seems to just make my edges blurry and make everything look out of focus.

Product shots of DVD's now have a blurry look to them if I run them at the desired final res. and just filter them to be less steppy.

perhaps I am still going to be looking at scaling down but not as much with the new filter?

Do you have a good workflow for this? or am I possibly doing something wrong?

Can you have a look and let me know your thoughts as to what I'm seeing/what I'm doing?
