A Titan can be warranted for 10 years for $69. Or, so I found out and invested for my Titan.
I wonder how you broke it...?
What will be the best GPU configuration today

This is very alarming! Has anyone else come across this? Any comments from the Team Otoy regarding max temp settings etc on Titans?gabrielefx wrote:for me Titans aren't built well.
I broken 2 Titans in less of a week, they run at a maximum of 80 degrees.
I have had the same problem with one GTX580, after 5 minutes of computing it disappeared from the system and the fan was pushed at maximum speed.
...
I donno if the warranty is valid when we use our gpus for raytracing.
Thanks,
Seeker

I'm sure warranty works because all Cards supporting CUDA (that includes Gtx TITAN) are branded with CUDA logo,
That means It's not only for playing games but also for GPU computing.

My 580s have worked hardly for two years without one single issue.
Fortunately I have some spare GTX580s....
Regarding the Titans they are too much fragile, aren't built as the 580, aren't built to do Cuda computing.
Then be careful!

I have 7 TITANS rendering like crazy and they are all rock solid, perfectly well built and they never, ever crash. I am using Windows 8.1. Very happy with them, will buy 3 more.

update:
I thought that all my Titan workstation problems were caused by the Titans.
I found the cause of continuous failures.
My machine was built with wrong electrical connections using adapters and splitters.
I re connected my 4 Titans using the dedicated gpu power lines and now the system runs very well.
I sue my vendor.
