At present v1.04 is working basically fine for what I want.
There is an odd behaviour if I render one mesh (chicken that I used before), delete it and load a different mesh (robot mech) into modo and re-render using the script. If I load the ocs file directly into Oct that is generated without changing the project name (ie overwriting the first file(s)), it has the "mech mesh" but has the textures and colours of the chicken ie white yellow and red.. A bit wierd and I haven't explained well here, but haven't done a lot of checking. Oh and btw I may be doing something wrong, I'm still pretty newb with modo.
It's as if the uv's are funny.. so just take this as a comment and when I've got some more concrete data, and/or proved it wrong.. I'll post specifically.

Thanks again!!
THAT'S A FEATURE :)
It's just fine, that's how it suppose to work. If you want new materials from modo to be exported you either need to delete the ocs file or change the project name.

Heh! :D
Ok, that's easy I don't have to think any more about that one.. :)
I guess now it's explained, it does sorta make sense.
It just seemed odd to me to see that mech rendered in chicken colours..

Well as before, great work!!

Cheers!

I'm having issues with .obj quality. I find that the file generated when I hit "Render" from the plug-in frequently won't work in Octane (it causes Octane to hang). If I run it through a separate translator like Meshlab the issues can usually be resolved.

I suspect that the problems lie between the quality of my model in modo, modo's .obj exporter, and Octane's parser, but I guess that if the plug-in is going to work consistently, it would be good to be able to streamline this.

Any thoughts? I've tried running the mesh cleanup script in modo, but it seems sometimes to delete a lot of the geometry I need...

I'm using the latest Windows x64 SP5 build of modo and the 1.04 plugin.

Thanks,
tim
