Hi !
Thank you for your efforts. I have downloaded it some minutes ago, and I hope that I will be able to test it a bit tomorrow, but I will be very busy for 3 days and I will not be able to do much tests and to post comments until the end of the week. I'm sure that I will have a lot to read here then ! ;)

Radiance I notice that if I use diffuse or specular material for walls on my test scene results are quite different:
diffuse walls - beta 2.2 RC3 samples 4.97 ~ 4.6 / 7.0 ~ 6.8
glossy walls set to high roughness/low specular - beta 2.2 RC3 samples 5.22 / 7.46 :O

and results are visually the same ;)
I'st not much but it's faster than beta 2.1 for sure....

wow you are really pushing yourselves with this.
Is this just a personal goal to get a FINAL release as soon as possible?
Or do you have superiors out there sending "Hurry up" emails :?:

"direct sunlight through opacity mapped geometry is not working yet"
About this, could we have in the future, when DL works with opacity a material or a material modifier type of thing to block DL? I think it could be useful, it is for me, I'll post an image in wip later on what I use it for. I mean, a totally clear material or a matte one that doesn't show up but block the sun just the same.

Great release.
Two small things:
When you use the zoom picker, the image shift and you loose your actual camera location
When you've reached the texture limit during loading you get several messages stating that the new texture cannot be loaded, the problem is that all those messages still appear when you change a material, switch form direct lighting to path tracing, ... which is really annoying espacially when like in my scene you have to cancel many of those messages.

Working wonderfully on my end so far. The slowdowns are gone so are the flashes.

Great job Octane team!
